Hi Hawthorn families!

I am so excited to be your 4th grade teacher this year!

I have been a teacher at Hawthorn Academy since the West Jordan campus opened. Before that, I taught in American Fork for four years. This is my 12th years as a teacher. I taught 3rd grade for five years, 4th grade for 5 years, and middle school science for one year.

I am excited to be moving to the South Jordan Hawthorn Campus this year. It is going to be an awesome year in 4th grade!

My favorite subject to teach is science. I have a middle level science endorsement which I went back to school to get because I love science so much.

When I am not teaching, I love to ski and hike. I grew up in Utah and love the beautiful mountains. I also enjoy reading, cooking, vacationing all over the world (I've been to 9 countries so far), and spending time with my family and friends.

I have 3 kids ages 22, 20, and 16. Only my youngest still lives at home. I also have an orange cat named Minerva. We live in an old house in Sugarhouse which is only cool because it has a rose garden.

My favorite food is cheese. My favorite color is teal. And my favorite animals are elephants and sock monkeys.
